Chronic Warrior

At your most balanced, you are:

Resilient • Brave • Appreciative of the Small Things • Powerful

Chronic Warriors, we see how strong you’ve become, even after all the battles you’ve faced in sickness and in health.

Dealing with chronic illness or pain is not for the faint-of-heart. You not only face the physical, mental, and emotional hurdles that come with your diagnosis, but you may also face judgment from a society that lacks compassion.

You may need more naps than the average person, and in turn, society labels you “lazy.” You may need to take time off from school or work to rest and heal, and society tells you to pick yourself up by your bootstraps.

Desperate for relief, you may try to replace opioids and other pharmaceuticals with alternative forms of natural medicine like cannabis or CBD, only for society to judge and persecute your choice of medication.

We want you to know, Chronic Warriors, that Hempsley is a safe space free from judgment.

We believe everyone has the right to find the medicine and wellness tools that work best for them, and we honor the fact that your journey is your own and no one else’s.

And while CBD is not a miracle drug that is going to magically solve all the problems that come with chronic illness or pain, and while it may not be right for everyone, we do find hope in the research.

We’ve collaborated with other Chronic Warriors to find the wellness routines that help them take healing into their own hands.

The Rise & Shine

Get a Head Start With chronic illness or pain, you never know how you’ll feel when you wake up. Some days there are big bursts of energy, and other days getting out of bed is a feat of its own. Creating a morning routine can help you start everyday with a positive outlook, embracing what you can control.

If you wake up feeling in need of relief, you can start your day with a tincture. Tinctures can either be held beneath the tongue for quick effects or added into food or drink for even longer lasting effects, like a capsule.

Kiskanu's Botanical Day Drops are blended with other herbs like lavender and chamomile to soothe your nervous system and provide relief during the day or nighttime hours.

If you're looking for just CBD, we recommend Papa and Barkley Releaf Drops Made from just MCT oil and hemp without the use of solvents like CO2, ethanol, or butane, this is a truly full spectrum product that has absolutely no additives.

Keep things simple with a capsule

If you're looking for a more effortless way to get your daily dose of cannabinoids, consider trying capsules — they're perfect for getting ahead of the day's challenges. We like to start the day with Papa and Barkley Releaf Capsules then use a tincture as needed for maximum relief.
Remember: Capsules and edibles can take up to 2 hours to take effect, but their effects can last 6-8 hours. Tinctures used under the tongue take effect in just 15-45 minutes, but their effects only last 2-4 hours. Click here to learn more

Follow up with a topical to target the areas still in need of relief

While the Releaf Drops have anti-inflammatory properties, promote overall health, and help build immunity, using the Papa and Barkley Releaf Balm can provide direct, targeted relief to the areas most affecting you. We suggest applying this balm directly after taking a hot bath or shower for better absorption.

Tying it all together

Starting your day on a strong note can help strengthen your already tremendous resolve. If you’re rising and shining with a tincture, a topical, and a hot bath or shower, be sure to add a big dose of self-compassion for whatever the day holds. These are only our suggestions, and we know the importance of talking with your healthcare provider first. That’s why we’ve created a CBD Safety article with Clinical Pharmacist Dr. Michael Barton, so you can be prepared when speaking with your own doctor.
