Sultry Hot Cocoa
About the Sultry Hot Cocoa Recipe
This Sultry Hot Cocoa recipe has been formulated with ingredients that are meant to enhance your mood, relax your body, and boost your libido (and of course support your endocannabinoid system!). Cacao, rose, and maca are the power ingredients in this romantic drink. We highly recommend romancing yourself while you sip: light some candles, get cozy, maybe even give yourself (or your sweetie) a massage.
However you choose to indulge, we hope you enjoy!
Ah, Valentine’s Day: Chocolate, flowers...romantic dinners at overly-crowded restaurants.
While we aren’t really into romantic dinners that involve bumping elbows with the table next to us, we are into chocolate and flowers. And let’s be real, it doesn’t have to be a holiday to justify treating yourself to some chocolate and flower-y treat (it does support the endocannabinoid system, after all!).
But, in the spirit of Valentine’s day, we have created a hot cocoa recipe that is chocolate-y, comforting, and even has roses in it!
Cacao’s scientific name name (Theobroma cacao) translates to “food of the gods”, which seems fitting given all of its health benefits, including that it:
is a mood enhancer: cacao is correlated with elevated levels of serotonin and dopamine, which promotes elevated mood and sexual arousal
contains phenylethylamine: known as the “love-molecule,” phenylethylamine is a chemical that is also released by the brains of people in love and post-coital bliss
contains magnesium: cacao is high in magnesium, which is a mineral many people are deficient in that helps promote relaxation
Maca is a great:
source of omega 3 fatty acids: an important nutrient that our bodies use to make their own endocannabinoids
adaptogen: Maca is an adaptogen, which means it helps the body adapt to stress and promotes balance throughout; maca specifically has been shown to support the adrenal glands, helping the body cope with stress and ease the nervous system
In addition to cacao and maca, Rose:
is a potent aphrodisiac: the scent of Rose has been used as an aphrodisiac for centuries, especially the essential oil
promotes relaxation: rose is rich in the terpene myrcene, which has anti-depressant,relaxing, and calming properties, and rose can support the nervous system
Finally, Star Anise is an herb that is rich in:

How to add cannabinoids to your Sultry Hot Cocoa
- Choose an infused honey as your sweetener. Click here to shop our infused honeys.
- Stir in a MCT-oil based cannabis infused tincture. If you choose this option, be sure to use a milk and not just water; cannabinoids are lipid soluble, so they are able to bind to the milk and be better absorbed by your body. Click here to shop our MCT-oil tinctures.
