On January 31, 2017, Founder Kristen Williams birthed Hempsley into the world while sitting on the floor of a friend’s bedroom in Denver, Colorado. She had made the 11 hour drive from Columbia, Missouri to attend the Women Grow Leadership Summit, and was determined to debut Hempsley to the world during the conference.

2 years later, Hempsley has moved into a 150 square foot dedicated office space at The Hatchery, grown to a team of 4, and we are expanding our online shop to (finally!) include CBD products!

Hempsley team at their 2-year birthday celebration

On February 1, 2019, we hosted a “birthday party” to celebrate this milestone with our incredible community. Guests were invited to come see our new space, meet the 2019 team, sample the new CBD products we’ll be carrying, reminisce with photos from the disposable cameras at the Heart of Health Exchange, and even make their own complimentary herbal blends with our custom jars from 420 Science!

The highlight of the party was the chocolate + cream cheese CBD cake, made with 300mg of Papa & Barkley’s full-spectrum CBD tincture and decorated with pressed Missouri flowers, calendula petals, crushed rose petals, and cannabis leaves, inspired by Loria Stern. When we had the idea to make a cake decorated with pressed flowers and leaves, we immediately took it to our brilliant friends at Peachtree Catering and Rustic Supper — and they far exceeded our wildest expectations for a dream cake!!

Just a few days after turning 2, we received our official trademark certification!

It was a long journey with unexpected hurdles, but two years later, thanks to the help of Trademark Attorney Kevin Haynie, we are finally official!

Thank you to our community!

We are so grateful for everyone who has supported us throughout our journey the past two years. It’s been quite the ride, and we can’t thank you enough for sticking with us. We have some exciting things planned for 2019 — be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to stay in the loop!
