About the Recipe
When we were growing up, there was a signature fruit dip recipe that our family would always make for all the big party occasions like New Year's Eve and Fourth of July. It had cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and loads of sugar. With all the mouth-watering fresh fruit available in Columbia this summer, we were looking for a little extra something to put with our fruit — and whipped up this sweet summer treat.
1 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
3 tbsp honey (we love the local Stem to Table honey!) or maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
5-15 mg CBD/serving (we recommend Rosebud’s 350mg MCT oil tincture, where 1 drop = .5mg CBD or Papa & Barkley’s Essentials Tincture)*
½ cup fruit (we recommend local peaches from local Peachtree Farms and blackberries from the Columbia Farmer’s Market)
* = Optional
Mix yogurt, honeymaple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon together in bowl
Divide into servings & add desired amount of CBD to each serving (sometimes oil can unevenly disperse and settle, so by adding CBD to each individual serving, you ensure that there is exactly what's expected & intended in each serving
Mix with fruit and granola or your other favorite ingredients to make an infused parfait, or simply use as a yummy dip for your summer fruit tray!
Opportunities for Cannabinoid Enhancement
If you'd like to enhance this recipe with cannabinoids, consider using one of the products below. We recommend using between 5-30mg of CBD per serving, depending on your needs and body weight (typically 1-5mg of CBD per 10 lbs of body weight). Remember to always start low and go slow when it comes to cannabinoids, and be sure to read our CBD Safety article and talk to your doctor before incorporating something new into your routine.
Papa & Barkley Essentials Hemp Drops CBD Tincture
If you'd like to enhance your fruit dip with cannabinoids, you can add an available tincture with an oil base (such as MCT or olive oil) to your recipe, such as Papa & Barkleys full-spectrum CBD oil.
This tincture is a whole plant extraction made with hemp grown in Colorado and carried in fractionated coconut or MCT oil. It is a lipid infusion, meaning that it uses no solvents in the extraction process and retains a full range of phytonutrients, including all of the plant’s cannabinoids and terpenes. A full dropper of their 450mg bottle contains 30mg of CBD, and the dropper has measurements on the side for easy dosing.
Rosebud CBD oil
Another great option is to use Rosebud’s CBD oil.
Rosebud CBD oil is made from CBD rich hemp flowers grown on US soil under the Oregon sun. Rosebud CBD rich oil is comprised of CO2 derived hemp extract mixed with fractionated coconut oil, MCT (medium-chain triglycerides). It is pesticide, herbicide and solvent free. We used approximately 5mg CBD (10 drops from Rosebud's 350mg bottle) in this recipe.
