About the Recipe

When we were growing up, there was a signature fruit dip recipe that our family would always make for all the big party occasions like New Year's Eve and Fourth of July. It had cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and loads of sugar. With all the mouth-watering fresh fruit available in Columbia this summer, we were looking for a little extra something to put with our fruit — and whipped up this sweet summer treat.

What's summer without a sweet fruit treat? Check out the why behind our key ingredients:

When it comes to daily nutritional needs, Greek yogurt is a great source of:
  • protein: provides energy and is used to build bones, muscles, skin, and more

  • probiotics: can help boost the immune system and aid in gut health

  • calcium: used to build muscles and fuels organ function

Cinnamon is a fantastic:
  • Antioxidant: helps stop damage to cells that can cause diseases like cancer, heart disease, and more and reduces inflammation

  • Anti-inflammatory: reduces inflammation or swelling

Honey is a wonderful:

Please note: You should never give honey to a child under one year old.

Opportunities for Cannabinoid Infusion

If you'd like to enhance this recipe with cannabinoids, consider one of the suggestions below. When substituting or adding cannabis-infused products, be aware of how many mg of CBD (or, if you're in a legal state, THC) are in each portion of the recipe you are making. The standard dose of CBD is 15-30mg, but varies based on tolerance, reason for use, severity of condition, etc. We recommend starting low and going slow; click here to learn more about dosing) and be sure to read our CBD Safety article and talk to your doctor before incorporating new cannabinoids into your routine.

How to add cannabinoids to your Simple Fruit Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ cup fruit (we recommend peaches, blackberries, or strawberries)

  • ½ cup granola (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix yogurt, honeymaple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon together in bowl

  2. Divide into servings & add desired amount of CBD to each serving (sometimes oil can unevenly disperse and settle, so by adding CBD to each individual serving, you ensure that there is exactly what's expected & intended in each serving

  3. Mix with fruit and granola or your other favorite ingredients to make an infused parfait, or simply use as a yummy dip for your summer fruit tray!
