Columbia Earth Day
Earth Day in Columbia, Missouri
Every year, The Peace Nook coordinates a huge Earth Day Festival in downtown Columbia near Peace Park. It has over 200 booths full of information about how to "green up your lifestyle" and experts in solar, gardening, and sustainability, and even had food trucks, workshops, and performances throughout the day!
This was our first time having a booth at Earth Day (and was also our first ever booth at a festival!), and we are thrilled to share that we won first place in the business category for the Eco-Awareness Contest for having the best educational display and learning activities! With this being our first year, this was completely unexpected and we are so honored and invigorated to have placed at all!!
We had all of our educational materials and Patent #6630507 Prints available for sale alongside our 5 newly released herbal blends that could all be made into tea, added to a bath, smoked or vaporized, and lots more! Guests also had the opportunity to craft their own herbal blends with 7 of our 8 herbs (unfortunately we weren't able to have our eighth and favorite herb, cannabis) in the back of our booth with help from our Wellness Guides.
Each herb jar had all the information from our Herb Reference Card set (including terpenes, nutrients, the body system it supports, what its been used for, and safety information) right on the jar to help guests choose the best herbs for their own, personalized blend!
If guests were hesitant to venture on their own, they also had the recipes of our 5 pre-made herbal blends available so that they could still get first-hand experience creating an herbal blend.
We are so grateful to everyone who came by our booth!! It was absolutely amazing getting to meet and talk with so many people in the community. We heard lots of incredible first-hand stories about how cannabis has changed lives for the better, and we were so touched by everyone's support.
