Cannabis can be a great tool for easing pain, but did you know that sage, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon are also powerful anti-inflammatories?

With cannabis classified by our government as a Schedule I drug, it can be easy to forget that it's simply an herb — and just like the hundreds of other herbs we consume on a daily basis, it has incredible healing properties.

But not everyone wants to or can use cannabis, and that's ok too.

Nature has provided us with hundreds of other plants that have the power to support our wellbeing. Today, we are taking a look at the herbs found in 8 different, nationally available herbal blends and their medicinal benefits. Please note: All of these blends are 100% cannabis-free but mix well with dried cannabis flowers for targeted and elevated effects.

What our family had to say about Bear Blend's Vizion blend:↗

"I smoked this blend as a joint and it reminded me of cigarettes — in a good way. The taste was ok, nothing really too flavorful about it. I feel like it would be good to use if I was trying to quit smoking cigarettes or cannabis." —Kate

"It took a couple puffs for me to get past the taste (it's definitely not cannabis). I felt like the smoke was a little harsh, but not bad; somewhat similar to the taste of cigarettes. I experienced a mild intoxicating feeling about 9 minutes or so after smoking it, but after about 15 minutes the intoxication was pretty much gone but left me with a relaxed feeling. I was definitely feeling less stressed and less fidgity in my body. I would recommend this blend, especially to people who are trying to quit smoking — cigarettes or cannabis!" —Joshua

Wild Crafted Blend by Inda Creations

As the only blend without mullein, a relatively fluffy herb, it has a very different texture from our other blends. With clove, mint leaf, and raspberry leaf, it is very minty and hearty with a biting rather than sweet taste. These herbs can be inhaled, made into tea, or added to a bath for a relaxing soak.

More information: 1/2 oz loose herbs for $10, other blends available. Organically grown on a small production farm in Vermont, USA. Find it here.

Ease by Natural Magics

This was an incredibly delicious blend with an earthily fresh, smooth, and sweet taste that gave nice, calming effects, but it unfortunately made Kristen's eyes burn. "I'm allergic to many environmental things, including most plants, so something in here specifically didn't work well with my body chemistry." Be sure to keep your allergies in mind as you go about choosing a blend for yourself! There are many herbs listed on our chart that advise using caution with ragweed allergies.
